:: Rebecca Allen, an internationally recognized media artist and professor of media arts at UCLA. Her work has included interactive installations, computer-animated films, and live multimedia performances.

:: Sari Gennis, a longtime animator who began in effects animation for commercials in the mid-1970s and moved to feature animation in 1992.

:: Jinko Gotoh, an executive producer of animated feature films who has worked in animation and computer animation since the early 1970s, including films such as Finding Nemo and Fantasia 2000.

:: Clare Kitson, longtime animation advocate, organizer and former commissioning editor for British Television Ch4, juror for various international animation festivals, and author of “Yuri Norstein and Tale of Tales: An Animator’s Journey”.


:: Tamara Lusher-Stocker, a 1990 CCAD alumna who has worked in story development for Disney Feature Animation and Lucas Film and is currently consulting on her own project at Wild Brain Studios.

:: Jayne Pilling, a preeminent international scholar on animation and the director of the British Animation Awards.

:: Joanna Quinn, an experienced independent animator in the UK who is a 2-time Academy Award nominee and recently won 3 prizes at Annecy and 2 at Zagreb (including the Grand Prix).

All Day: Presentations** A Recruiters’ Guide to Preparing for a Career In Animation
Independent recruiters Ila Abramson of I Spy Recruiting and Rachelle Lewis of Rachelle Lewis Talent will co-present.
Presentation by Sabrina de los Rios, recruiter for Blue Sky Studios, creators of Ice Age, Robots and Ice Age 2.


Rachelle Lewis and Ila Abramson will conduct open portfolio and demo reel critiques for feedback and career guidance purposes. Sabrina de los Rios will conduct closed portfolio and demo reel reviews for specific Blue Sky Studios job openings.
